Sometimes, your donors will opt to give your CauseVox campaign a check or cash donation. You can easily input that donation into your CauseVox campaign site so that the donation will be included in your campaign’s progress counter.
Donation receipts are not automatically sent for offline donations, those should be sent manually in the donation profile in CauseVox after it's created.
To add an offline donation, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Under Manage select Donations from the left navigation and select Create >> Single Donation on the right.
Step 2: Select the Campaign the donation should be assigned to (required), as well as the donation form, site or peer-to-peer pages.
If you added Form Fields to the campaign's donation form, you must assign the offline donation to the Donation Form in order to apply the custom fields to the offline donation.
If you are running a fundraising site and wish to have the offline donation show up in the donor wall, you'll need to also assign it to the Site.
Step 3: Link the offline donation to an existing contact or organization. If the contact does not exist, you can enter the donor information under Donation Information.
Step 4: Under Donation Information, enter the required fields including Display Name (the name shown publicly), amount, currency and created date.
Under Personal Information you can enter:
First name
Last name
Email
Postal address
Under Site Specific (shown publicly) you can:
Make the gift anonymous
Enter a comment
Step 5: Enter the optional revenue details including:
Payment method
Status
Payment channel
Payment notes
Fund designation
Step 6: Save, or Save and Add Another. Your donation should now be listed among all other online/offline donations.
The Display Name and Comments will be shown publicly on the donor wall.
In order to Save you will need to fill in all required fields.
Offline donations do not incur any transaction fees.
