Contact Search
Looking for a particular donor? You can search and select contact records from your Contacts to view their profile.
Contact records centralize and track donations, recurring gifts, pledges, installments, auction bids and payments, fundraising activities, and engagement in real-time, helping you get to know your supporters.
When you access a contact’s Overview, you can see information including:
First Name
Last Name
Email(s)
Phone Number(s)
Address(es)
Tags
Activity
Households
Organizations
Lifetime Gift
Average Gift
Largest Gift
First Gift
Edit Contact Records
Should you need to edit a contact photo, name, email, phone, address, relationship and more, under Overview >> Details, select Edit. You can also edit the record via Actions on the right.
Under Details >> General Information, you can edit the following contact information:
Display Name (how the name should be displayed in CauseVox. This can be a nickname if needed)
Title
Suffix
First Name
Middle Name
Last Name
Maiden Name
Deceased
Can Contact
Any contact custom questions
Use the top navigation tabs to update additional information such as:
Contact Methods, such as email, phone, address
Relationships, such as spouse, child, sibling, parent, colleague, friend
Households to connect the contact to a related household with additional members
Organizations to connect the contact to a related organization
Payment Methods to add saved payment methods such as credit/debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, ACH bank transfer and set a default payment method
Manage Contact Data
Under the record's Manage tab, you can view, edit and export all transactions including:
Portal Users (if the contact has created a portal account)
Recurring Profiles
Donations
Pledges
Installments
Installment Invoices
Personal Pages
Team Pages
Organization Pages
Registrations
Ticket Orders
Tickets
Auction Bids
Auction Bidders
Auction Payments
Revenue

For a complete list, under Manage, select the data you wish to view from the left navigation, then export on the right.
Select the ellipses Quick Actions to edit records including refunding donations or moving them to other campaigns or peer-to-peer pages.
Add Contact Notes
You're able to make notes on Contacts to help you keep track of activity or other comments on members of your community.
Select the Notes tab >> Create Note.
A few things you may want to note are:
Significant dates for them, like birthdays
In-kind donations
Reasons why they have cancelled a recurring donation, didn't fundraise, etc
Interactions you have with the contact outside of CauseVox (contents of emails, phone calls, or in person conversations)
Remove Duplicate Records
Review suggested duplicate records to clean and consolidate data. Select the eye icon to compare the related records and merge or dismiss the suggested duplicate.
Track Real-Time Activity
In the contact's activity feed, you can see all recent activity including:
New donations/pledges/installments
New fundraising pages created
Donations made to a fundraising page
Recent updates to a fundraising page
New ticket purchases
Auction bids and payments
Filter the view by activity type and a date range, and use the popover for a quick information view and cross reference.
