Recurring donations are available on any campaign that uses Stripe for its donation processing, and they allow donors to choose to make their donation on a monthly basis at whichever amount they first choose.

Recurring donors will be charged the same day of the month they first completed their first donation.

You can set up recurring-specific donation tiers for donors to select from on your donation form. These can be different than the one-time and pledge tiers.

When a recurring donor completes their first donation, they will receive a donation receipt for the amount they donated that day. Every month going forward they'll automatically be sent a receipt after every transaction is processed.

In the email, they'll be sent a link they can use to manage their donation (update their credit card, suspend their recurring donation, and more.) View more information here.

As their donation is processed each month, the funds donated will reflect towards the campaign goal.

Should a recurring donation fail, the donor will automatically receive an email prompting them to update their credit card on a secure form.

After 3 failed payments, the recurring profiles will be put in a “Past Due” state to help you know which recurring profiles need attention. You can then update the card in admin to re-enable the recurring donation.

When a campaign ends or is turned offline, donations are still automatically processed until you delete their donor profile.

Recurring donations cannot be processed if your account is suspended or cancelled.
